2020 is toughest year ever. Today - with health protocol - we run company gathering before Jakarta start another episod of city lockdown by next Monday (14/9).

We currently close due Covid-19 situation in Jakarta until end of April 2020. YES, It’s not a typo, APRIL. It’s hard for us, and most of business owner (we believe). However we don’t want to make the spread goes further and hurt our family, neighbors and community. Kind of miss-focus but we missed it a lot: CHOIPAN! Originally come from mixed food culture between Southern part of China and Pontianak (West Kalimantan), choipan become all the time fav snack in Chinatown. Made from bamboo sprout or (sometimes) Jicama mixed with shrimp, garlic, and other spices like pepper etc. Yum~ 😋 https://ift.tt/2NDh4wq

Few light would be enough. Yesterday, Jakarta experience massive black out, around 8-10 hours since 12 PM. The phone signal also off due the black out. We were so happy meet HATI 新心相印, group of seven young people from Taiwan 🇹🇼 three days ago. They conduct a program to help migrant workers connect with other citizen of the world through walking tour. We glad to help them, share idea and suggestions for their next step. It’s such a happy moment when you see how these Taiwanese young friends care so much about Indonesian migrant workers and social issues around them. Terima kasih HATI, thanks for joining our !

Time to feed your pet: bird, chicken, goose, fish. In Indonesia these animal just like dog or cat in ‘Western World’. Some ppl need accompany, need them to wake them up in the morning. At least, ppl find a reason to come back home. They will said something like this: “Oh, I can’t stay longer, sorry friend (a.k.a human friend!), I need to feed my fish. Dinner time!” 😂
