Basic Level Non- Residential Cooking Training scheduled on 16th and 17th Dec at RWSC at Pong Dam. under the dhameta cluster. In this training participants from all the concerned panchayat were selected. trainings were provided those participants who will be associated in homestay, camping site management etc. Mr. Debasis Sahoo Assistant Professor of of was deployed by the management as a resource Person. the two days training was successfully scheduled. Participants learned various ecotourism, community based tourism management practices. Also various methods of cutting of vegetables, salads, as many local cuisines. Moreover, health and Hygiene, processing and mangement and hospitility practices.

Ecotourism experts Mr. Ankit Sood ji detiled about Ecotourism, Community based tourism, related products and also motivated about the association in CBT products for the growth and development of CBT under Dhameta cluster. The CDO Dr. Bharti ji nurtured all the participants about Group development, management, functioning of SHG, loaning inter-loaning, benefits of working in group.

Team Leader and PTDC Member greeted the visitors Mr. Patel and His Family of Ahmdabad Gujrat. In one day package the visitors enjoyed village touring, local herbs, also enjoyed local culture and tradition moreover visited Bird Watching Tower Chatta of pong dam. They had enjoyed watching of varieties of newly arrived birds and feel blessed visiting in the region.

Competition organised at the and of Jognoli Panchayat. In this Program four Competition have been conducted in both the School namely 1. Clean Street/Village Competition 2. Painting Competition, 3. Slogan Writing 4. Declamation Competition. about 150 students has participated in this event. School Teachers, PTDC Governing Members also contributing for successfully conduction of event.

to and Village near of has been successfully scheduled on 1st Nov. 2015 Total 40 Stakeholders of four panchayats namely Dhameta, Jagnoli, Bari and Khatiyar had participated. They had experienced both urban (Chaddi) and rural (Satavri village) near Dal Lake homestays functioning, basic tactic of homestay management. The resource person and homestay owners has shared their valuable experiences with the stakeholders and motivated about touism management and association in homestay schemes.

( ) Concluded. in this Training all the Members of SHGs (Self Help Groups), about total 65 plus women have participated in each day. Training has been given to major three products 1. Knitting Socks (for Male, Female and Kids) 2. New Patterns and Design for Socks Knitting, Sweater Knitting, Mufflers etc. 3. Croatia designs and patterns. All the Women have shown there enthusiasm and produced bulk of hand Woven products within four days.

Painting Competition- Total 70 Students from 6th to 12th have Participated. and in Slogan Writing Competition- approximately 35 Students from 6th to 12th have participated

First, Cluster Level (Knitting) have commenced from 23rd June 2015 at the Panchayat Bhawan Dhameta. Team of Expertise of IDIPT-HP/ CBT Project also participated in the commencement of 1st training program of the Dhameta cluster. Expert Trainers of Handicraft (Knitting) came from Kullu District (A hub of handicraft production) will provide training to the artisans of the cluster. Interestingly, almost all the women of (Self Help Group) are participating in training .

Mass Awareness organised on 19th and 20th June 2015 at all the cluster Panchayats by involving local folk and Media. In this Mass Awareness community stakeholders have participated snd responded very effectively. All newly formed (Panchayat tourism Development Committee), (Self Help Groups), (Mahila Mandals), Youths, School Children, Artisans, Fishermen, and other community stakeholders had participated.

University Level Water Sport Tournament was organised by (GURU NANAK DEV UNIVERSITY- Amritsar at Pong Dam from 26th March to 28th March 2015. In this competition total 230 students had participated in major games such as , etc. and total 13 Universities had participated in this mega tournament. it is hard to believe (Himachal Pradesh University-Shimla) have never participated in such Major university Level Water Sports Competitions, although major water bodies in northern India found in Himachal Pradesh.

The beautiful Bathu Temples in Dhameta. Bathu Temples are marvelous example of Indian architecture from Pandavas' times. These temples are made of stone and intersting fact about them is that they remain submerged under water for 8 months in a year. These can be seen only during March to June. Despite being submerged for the past 30 years for 8 months every year, the stone hasn't lost its luster and the architecture is intact. The temples have amazing carvings and Lord Vishnu's drawings on the stone. The temples can be accessed by a traditional styled boat from Dhameta. One side journey almost takes 40-45 minutes which is an experience itself as one will encounter birds catching fish in the reservoir!
