San Francisco Disc Golf Club The San Francisco Disc Golf club is dedicated to promoting disc golf in San Francisco. The Golden Gate Park Disc Golf Course opened on March 31,2007.

Founded in 1997, the San Francisco Disc Golf Club is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of disc golf, fostering a sense of community for disc golfers. One of our goals is to build permanent disc golf courses, complete with baskets, in the San Francisco area. In 2005, a lot of hard work paid off when the former 12-hole trial course in Golden Gate Park was approved for ex

pansion to the 18 hole permanent course that thousands of players enjoy today. Every day new players come out and find a challenging and fun sport in a beautiful parkland setting. Experienced players consider the course technical and well-constructed, with elevation changes and strategic flight paths through the pine, cypress and eucalyptus trees. The SFDGC, with support from San Francisco Rec & Park, continues to maintain the much-loved course. We encourage everyone who's interested to come out and play a round.
