On today's Member Spotlight, Fred Shearer, Vice Chair of the Adams Community Foundation, shares insights about the foundation and presents significant funds to local organizations, totaling $84,700. Since its inception about 25 years ago, the foundation has donated a tremendous almost 2 million dollars to local Adams County projects, giving between 100-150K annually! Recipients include:

Adams Community/Corning, Iowa ACEDC Fund
Corning American Theater
Corning Public Library
If you would like to donate to the foundation, your contribution qualifies for the Iowa Foundation Tax Credit and is tax-deductible.

Our Chamber Live was at Sweet Desires Bakery this morning! We spoke with owner Pom and met Natalie and Rachel while having the opportunity to hear from a customer ordering donuts for the pipeline crew. Watch the Live to hear what the best donut in the world as told by Martin from Chicago, IL.
The Soup Supper begins at 4pm, eat at the Community Center or you can carry out. Be sure to be there for the 6pm auction! Lots of delicious homemade pies plus many other items available for auction. Proceeds will be used towards a new Fairgrounds Building.
