DISCOVERING “ THAP MUOI” COUNTRYSIDE

Time: 2 days + 1 night
CAI BE – THAP MUOI – XEO QUYT – CAI BE
The 1st day
Pick up tourists in Cai Be by car (10 a.m). Visit remote area market – Hau My Phu. Tourists can contemplate D**g Thap Muoi rice fields where farmers till and harvest rice (seasonal). See or take part in passing over “monkey bridge” – one of the special bridges in Mekog delta.
Go on to visit Go Thap historical Relic Zone (ten-layer tower) where remain the sepulchre area with the vestiges of Oc Eo culture of Funan Kingdom in 17th century. Visit Ba Chua Xu shrine – a holy place of the residents in Thap Muoi zone.
Have lunch in My An town or Cao Lanh city.
Continuously to Xeo Quyt Relics- D**g Thap by tourist car. Take row boat through the cajuput forest to see ecological creatures system of D**g Thap Muoi.
Walk in the cajuput trees to visit relics, revolutionary base in war time of D**g Thap.
Visit D**g Thap Muoi’s Lotus fields.
Back to Cai Be. Check in, relax and have dinner at Mekong Riverside Resort.
The 2nd day
- Have breakfast at Resort.
- Start boat trip to Cai Be floating market - cultural specific characteristics in South Western religion. Tourists can batter goods with “The Merchants”.(option)
- Stop at traditional handicraft village : pop rice, rice paper, coconut candy, honey and so on; enjoy tea and sweet – the specialties of the locals.
- Visit Cai Be church.
- Visit fruit-tree garden and Mr Ba Duc’s colonial ancient house or Mr Kiet’s house, one of the typical houses in Southern part Viet Nam, recognized as traditional ancient house by UNESCO.
Tour ends at Cai Be tourist pier or Mekong Riverside Resort.
