Kallichoron Art Boutique Hotel offers accommodation, award-winning breakfasts, and themed excursions on the island of Astypalea. They use solar water heaters, minimize energy consumption, segregate and recycle waste, have transitioned to biodegradable detergents and paper straws to protect marine life, and have a carbon footprint reduction plan. Residual soap is donated to the Clean Hands nonprofit for recycling and distribution to vulnerable groups. Kallichoron prioritizes local and organic suppliers. Their famous breakfast menu includes local cheese, fresh milk, eggs, Astypalean thyme honey, freshly baked bread, homemade cakes, pies, pastries, and jams, and vegetables from their garden. They feature artwork by local artists and support local community projects and cultural activities for children and young adults through their Room2Give program. Midigama Fruit Farm was established in 1996 to promote agroecology and regenerative farming, improve local livelihoods, and contribute to food security and socioeconomic development in the village of Midigama in southern Sri Lanka. They grow tropical fruits and fresh vegetables using a traditional three canopy multi-cropping system that optimizes land utilization, increases biodiversity, supports ecological pest management, and improves water conservation and soil health. Midigama Fruit Farm offers fruit and veggie boxes, guided farm tours, fruit tasting, vegan lunches, workshops, training programs, and farmstays. Visitors are able to see fruit forests, raised vegetable beds, bee hives, water conservation ponds, compost and liquid fertilizer production, a traditional kitchen, pack house, farm gate shop, eco center, meditation area, and spiritual walking paths. Midigama Fruit Farm provides fresh fruits and vegetables at discounted rates to workers and local farm huts and reinvests profits towards ecological improvements.

Banyan Camp is an off-the-grid lakefront eco retreat in rural Sri Lanka. Activities include yoga, canoeing, birding, wildlife photography, and visits to waterfalls, temples, Udawalawe National Park, and the Elephant Transit Home. The facilities were designed to integrate into the local surroundings, maximize natural light and air flow, and use sustainable and upcycled materials including reclaimed doors and windows, driftwood furniture, reinvented trucks, and more than 11,000 green glass bottles. Banyan Camp trains and employs people from the surrounding community, sources milk, curd, fruits, vegetables, rice, and curries from different local families, and has donated 320 bikes to villagers and planted more than 700 trees. They employ people with disabilities and have raised funds to make the entire camp wheelchair accessible.

Tuktuk Rental enables travelers to break down social and cultural stereotypes and explore off the beaten path while helping local Sri Lankan families boost their income. Many tuktuk drivers take loans to pay for their vehicles and can struggle to earn enough each day to repay the loans, cover costs, and support their families. As a social enterprise, Tuktuk Rental doesn’t own tuktuks, they rent them from their network of local tuktuk owners at up to five times the regular rate. This enables owners to transition out of full-time tuktuk driving and into higher skilled careers. Rental includes unlimited kilometers, tuktuk driving lesson, comprehensive insurance, a lockable storage box, itinerary advice, and 24/7 support. They also offer seatbelts, baby seats, coolers, bluetooth speakers, and surfboard roof racks. Tuktuk Rental offsets carbon emissions for their own operations and for the kilometers driven by customers. Fifty percent of their gross income goes directly to their social cause.
