St.Catharines Bassmasters St. Catharines Bassmasters...more than just a Bass Club ! The St. Catharines Bassmasters was formed in March of 1996 with a total of 12 members.

We have grown to over 40 members representing the entire Niagara Region. We are one of approximately 30 chapter clubs of the Ontario Bassmasters Federation (O.B.F.), the 50th Federation in the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (B.A.S.S.). Catharines Bassmasters offer an opportunity for Bass anglers of all skill levels to meet and share ideas and information with each other. The club organizes tournam

ent events, seminars, community based youth activities, and, fishery enhancement projects. Catharines Bassmasters strive to provide a competitive tournament schedule that encourages friendship, sportsmanship, fun and a learning experience for all skill levels. Catharines Bassmasters tournaments are "draw" format pairing a boater with a non-boater. You do not have to own a boat to participate in club tournaments! Catharines Bassmasters support the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority with their Welland River Restoration project. Catharines Bassmasters meet on the second Monday of the month . Tomorrow's tournament is cancelled due to high winds and weather. It will be rescheduled at a later date.

We are delaying our June meeting until the 18th it is closer to opening weekend. It will still take place at Bugsys in St Catharines . Hope to see everyone out for our final meeting before the season kicks off.

We are currently looking for 3-5 volunteers from the club to help out with the Casting for Kids event run by Bill Whitehead at the Niagara Outdoor show On Sunday March 10. Joe P and Joe M will be in attendance, we are also reaching out to the Jr members to help support the event. Volunteers who would to be able to go to the event in Fort Erie to help for 3-4 hours for a part of the am or pm, its runs from 9am - 3pm. Niagara Outdoor Show
