Luke Bollman is still struggling with the TBI and lung issue. He will have reconstructive surgery on his bladder in April. The doctors say that he has many months of recovery, OT and PT in front of him.

Good news to share today! Luke Bollman has not had to go back on the vent, although his lungs are still healing and his heart rate is still not quite right. He has been moved from ICU to the critical care unit so that's a real step in the right direction. He still has some agitated moments with having had a brain injury but all in all things seem to be moving in the right direction. He still needs to have surgery at some point to fix his bladder, but that probably won't be for a few weeks. As always his family thanks everyone so much for continuing to share his story and giving what you can!

Luke Bollman is off the ventilator today, so that's good news. His lungs are still looking murky, but they are hoping he can stay off the ventilator this time. His heart rate still hasn't quite stabilized, and his brain injury has left him agitated and hostile. His parents are still asking that no one come to visit at this time, as it just gets Luke worked up. They understand that you all care for Luke and want to see him, but he needs this time to heal, and the more people that come to see him, the more worked up he gets. Brain injuries are notorious for causing angry and agitated episodes, and Luke sustained multiple skull fractures. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts, continue to share his story, and give what you can.

Luke's parents appreciate and thank all those who have supported him so far in his journey to recovery, knowing he has a long way to go and will continue to need you all in his corner.

Unfortunately, Luke Bollman failed the breathing test today so he still has the vent. His lungs are cloudy and they are giving him medication to break up the gunk. On a more positive note, he is otherwise stable at this time. Luke is somewhat sedated but was also able to communicate a bit today with head nods and shakes so things seem to be moving in the right direction at this time.

https://gofund.me/65d14ec0

Luke's mom had to have her port placed today for chemotherapy for her cancer so you can imagine how stressful this time is for the entire family, so please keep the family in your thoughts and continue to share Luke's story as the person that hit him has still not been identified. Thanks for all the continued support and sharing.

Today, there hasn't been much change in Luke Bollman 's condition. His heart rate is still high so he's still in AFIB. His oxygen levels are getting better, however. They will try removing him from the vent once a day to see if he can keep his levels up on his own, but at this time, he is still on the vent. Luke had an ultrasound on his heart yesterday, but with the breathing tube in place, they weren't able to get clear enough pictures. They will be performing a different imaging technique tomorrow. Some good news is that his brain bleed remains stable at this time.

The hospital has asked his parents to tell people not to continue calling the hospital for updates as they are not allowed to give out personal information. Please continue to check here or on Gofundme for daily updates on Luke's condition.

Sad news to share today about Luke's condition. As mentioned, he had to go back on the vent as his oxygen levels were falling to 50% yesterday and down to 30% today. His heart rate is very high but his blood pressure is very low and it is believed he has septic shock from a staph infection starting in his lung and getting into his blood. He is on antibiotics and heavily sedated. Please keep Luke and his family in your thoughts and prayers and continue to share his story and/or give what you can. His family appreciates all the support and prayers you can spare.

Luke is finally waking up, but the head injuries he has sustained have left him agitated and confused. He doesn't understand what happened to him or why he is not able to leave the hospital. Blood is still being drained from his lungs, and his injuries are multiple. It will be a long road for him to recover, so please continue to share his story to help alleviate his burden of medical expenses and in the hope that the person who hit him is brought to justice.

Luke was able to have the ventilator removed today, so there's good news there. He still has a long road to recovery. His doctors are still working on getting him to wake up fully and finding the right combination of medication to subdue his pain, as even though he is sedated, he is still exhibiting pain symptoms. The docs are also having trouble stabilizing his heart rate, and it keeps dropping well below the normal range.
Please continue to give what you can and share Luke's story, as the culprit who hit him needs to face the consequences of their actions.

Unfortunately, Luke has had some setbacks today. They tried to remove his vent, but he was unable to come off of it at this time. Luke also has developed a blood clot in his left leg and still has some bleeding on the brain.

There is still no news on who hit Luke and left him in the street without stopping or rendering aid.

Please continue to share his story and/or give what you can, as his recovery will be a long and slow process. Sharing his story could help bring the criminal who hit him to justice.
