I wish to share at this time that I have made the difficult decision to close The Travel Folk.

Last fall my husband and I welcomed our first child into our family and, as a result, it has become too difficult to find enough time to commit to my business while maintaining the quality of customer service I owe you, my clients. I will not be taking on any new inquires effective immediately.

I want to say thank you for your business and trusting me with your vacation planning! I will sincerely miss the exciting travel industry I have come to know and love over the past 8 years.

As a reminder, or for those who missed my previous post, I wish to let you know I have now begun my maternity leave! What does this look like for travel reservations for this coming 2019/2020 winter & spring season? ✈️

At this time I am no longer accepting new inquiries/reservations, but only continuing to assist my clients with any existing bookings. I do not yet have a set date when I will begin accepting new reservations again, but will certainly let you know when I do!

‼️ Announcement ‼️

I am very excited to share that this fall my husband and I will be welcoming a new little travel companion into our home! With a baby on the way there are a lot of preparations to make and I would like to let everyone know what this will look like for your holiday bookings for the coming fall/winter season.🧳

From now until the beginning of September it will be business as per usual, however I will be limiting the number of holiday reservations travelling within a certain time period for the 2019/2020 season. This is in order to ensure I can still provide quality customer service to those booked with me.

In early September I will no longer be accepting new inquiries/reservations, but only continuing to assist my clients with any existing bookings. At this time I have no set date when I will begin accepting new reservations again, but will certainly let you know when I do!

Sad news coming out of Paris today as a world-famous historic landmark is engulfed in flames 💔 🇫🇷

Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris goes up in flames, devastating the medieval Parisian landmark, one of France's most visited sites. Flames that began in the early evening quickly burst through the roof of the cathedral and engulfed the spire, which collapsed, quickly followed by the entire roof.

WOW Airlines goes under leaving many passengers stranded all over the world ✈️

How do you avoid his same catastrophe happening to your holiday? Number one would be to book with a reputable and stable airline, and unfortunately many smaller discount airlines don’t have that same security as the larger airline companies. And if it does come down to that worst case scenario travel insurance may protect you (if you have the right coverage that is).

Thankfully none of my passengers were effected by the closure of WOW Airlines, and some other airlines are assisting in bringing stranded travellers back home at discounted rates. Check out the article for more details 👇🏻

After a press conference, Canada's Federal Transport Minister Marc Garneau announced that all Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 9 airplanes are grounded and are banned from Canada's airspace until further notice.

The first day aboard The A with U by Uniworld finds us in Regensburg 🇩🇪
