Due to expanded ship inventory and a number of attendees who are planning to share accommodations during the Expo, more space was opened for members to attend our most anticipated event of the year.

ASTA's River Cruise Expo provides travel advisors with a unique opportunity to experience the best of European river cruising. This includes:

☑️ The ability to tour 15 river cruise ships from 11 river cruise brands
☑️ Four days of meals on ships
☑️ Industry-leading educational content to supercharge your river cruise sales
☑️ A supplier trade show and several days of networking opportunities
☑️ A free Vienna Pass to explore more than 25 of Austria's most iconic sights and attractions

Registration also allows you the option to book (for an additional cost) accommodations onboard a ship and an optional post-Expo FAM sailing. Cabins are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and inventory is limited.

We also have a very limited number of VIP Admission spots available, which includes a VIP cocktail mixer and advanced access to make dining selections on the ships during the Expo.

There are many people within our travel industry family—around 200,000 individual travel advisors, suppliers and others—and some struggle with unforeseen circumstances that affect them financially. They are single parents working hard to raise their children; they are spending more than they can afford on healthcare or to care for elderly parents; they are suffering from a personal setback or natural disaster that has affected them financially.

The Family Bonds Foundation was started to help our travel industry community when hardships arise. Since its inception, the foundation has provided nearly 250 grants to those in need.

The recent devastation from Hurricane Helene has impacted many individuals in our industry, along with their families and communities. We want to help.

Ensure smooth travels for you and your clients by being REAL ID compliant before May 7, 2025. If your clients use a driver’s license at TSA checkpoints, remind them that a REAL ID-compliant license, marked with a gold star in the upper-right corner, is required to board domestic flights.

American Airlines announced it will exclude tickets booked via agencies like yours from its loyalty program, AAdvantage, unless you can meet its unrealistic criteria to become an AA “preferred” agency, starting on May 1, 2024.

This latest development doubles down on American Airlines’ clear agenda since last year to force the travel agency industry to adopt immature technology, monopolize distribution channels, and squeeze channel partners.
