✈️ Traveling with a child who has special needs can be challenging at times. Whether it is communicating with others, dietary needs, wheelchair accommodations, there are so many things that parents of children with special needs think about daily, but especially when traveling. Most importantly, like all parents, we want our children to be kids, have fun on vacation, and be accepted for exactly who they are. 🩷 I am grateful that recognizes the needs of all families by offering a vacation where my daughter could be included in the kids’ camp with a special buddy, could fully participate in kids’ activities, and would accommodate any dietary needs. As a parent and caregiver, this allowed me to enjoy down time on vacation while also allowing my daughter to just be a kid. I am grateful for the memories made ! We will be back.

🏝️ Last full day in paradise and we soaked up all of the fun in the sun! We love Turks & Caicos for the beautiful water, white sand beaches, and stunning sunsets, but it is the memories made that make it special.

🌊 Day 3 and we can never get enough of the stunning views, crystal clear water, and beautiful beaches in Turks & Caicos! We enjoyed breakfast with a beachfront view, followed by a beach photo shoot, a gorgeous beach day, and it was capped off by a fun Sesame Street parade and street party with some of our favorites, including Elmo and Zoey. It was a fantastic day. Capturing all of these special memories.

🏝️ Day 1 was a success! We arrived to check in at the concierge lounge in the Italian Village where we were all greeted with a welcome drink and cookies. Arrived at our fantastic room (more details to come) and enjoyed our favorite Sesame Street friends for a fun night of entertainment. Ready to embrace day 2 and all the things .

🇫🇷 🇺🇸 Today was humbling, awe-inspiring, and patriotic during this 80th anniversary of D Day. I had the opportunity to visit Omaha Beach, one of the American military cemetery’s in France, and to see the Normandy region. The sacrifices made by Americans, the British, and Canadians to stop Hi**er and free France was truly astounding. Today, we enjoyed lunch in a cafe along the beach, watched kids swim, and saw the French people enjoying life and freedom. I continue to be thankful for the sacrifices of my grandfathers and the many American veterans and military men and women who make our freedom in this world possible. .

🛳️ Another much needed sea day today! We enjoyed our favorite spot on the ship, the spa/hot tub area located in the adults only Retreat section. We also enjoyed a fun seafood dinner. Ready to see France next!

⛳️ Today’s highlights included the 1st and 18th holes at St. Andrew’s Golf Course, the original course where golf began. (Shout out to my dad, the most avid golfer I know). Right acorss across the street, the breathtaking beach where the iconic “Chariot’s of Fire” scene was filmed. Then it was on to St. Andrew’s University, the oldest university in Scotland and the alma mater of William and Kate. Then finally seeing the ruins of St. Andrew’s Cathedral. An amazing way to conclude our time in Scotland!

🏰 Today’s Scottish adventure took us to The Castle of Mey, which is the abandoned castle that the Queen Mother bought and renovated when her husband, King George VI (Queen Elizabeth’s father) passed away. Winston Churchill urged her to take on the project to help her with grieving the loss of her husband, and she subsequently visited every July and October until she passed away at 101. Unfortunately, no photos allowed inside, but it is a home still used by the Royal family (King Charles will arrive in a few weeks). We also saw the local church where the Queen often visited when at the Castle. And what a treat to meet Nancy, whose family has worked for four generations at the Castle.

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 The Orkney Islands of Scotland were truly beautiful! A UNESCO World Heritage site, Skara Brae (3100 BC) village, the Ring of Brodgar and Stones of Steness were unbelievable, predating the Incas and the Pyramids. WOW! We enjoyed this gorgeous day on these remote Scottish islands.

🛳️ Today was a day at sea, which was perfect timing for sleeping in late, getting a much needed manicure, enjoying the hot tub, and taking in stunning views of Scotland while sailing by. And WOW, the 10 pm sunsets are spectacular!!!

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿Glasgow, you were a wee bit cold for this Southerner, but a welcome way to begin our journey through Scotland! Amazing city murals, beautiful architecture, and Scottish urban life were highlights of this fantastic city. Looking forward to more of Scotland!

🇮🇪Dublin, you were a delight! From your colorful doorways, impressive live music, dancing jigs, and Trinity College (I ❤️ a college tour complete with a sophomore admissions tour guide from Limerick), Dublin is a such a lovely city. I will be back to this delightful city!

🇮🇪 My first day in Ireland was more than expected! Stunning views in every direction, historic Muckross House, Killarney National Park, and charming Irish towns including Kenmare and Killarney. ☘️ 🎄 Killarney was a bucket list destination after hearing Bing Crosby sing about this iconic Irish locale every Christmas. Love these amazing memories!
