Jennifer Lowery, the operator of a new fly shop in Silver Springs, FL, will not only tell you about her new business venture called Sunny South Outfitters, but will also discuss fishing opportunities in this interesting Florida Town called Silver Springs, located about an hour north of The Villages.

Jennifer has been fly fishing since she was a little girl and will share with you how she came to love the sport. She fishes her local waters often and will share some of that information as well.

Join us from 3:30 to 5:30 at the Canal Recreation Center this Thursday, January 21, 2016. Don't forget to bring your Resident ID which will be checked by the Center staff.

Fish stories welcomed !!!! Looking forward to seeing you. Sharon

Women Fly Fishers of the Villages Good Morning All: As indicated above, we are at a different Rec Center for this months meeting and at an earlier time. We will then return to Odell Rec Center for the remaining 2015 monthly meetings.

The first part of our meeting this month will be a SURPRISE EVENT! So join us in a "fly fishing state of mind" and have some fun!

Bring your fly rod and reel and as time (and rain) permits, we will have casting practice/instruction.......and see who has the longest cast!

And.....I am sure we have some fishing stories to share by this time.

We will soon bring to a close our first year as a Club. Dues of $20.00 will be due August 1, 2015 and will be accepted at the July meeting as well. We currently have enough funds from dues to have a web site developed. However, we do not have enough to pay someone to maintain and update it for us. Hopefully, our second year dues will provide the necessary funds needed for web site maintenance.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.....and remember....fish every chance you get!

Great meeting on Tuesday night. Oscar Feliu taught the group how to "Match the Hatch", meaning we learned how to read the water for seeing what the fish were eating so we could select the right fly to catch the "big one!"
