How about contracting out ALL maintenance in counties where a majority of the citizens are fed up with the outdated, overly bureaucratic, politics ridden and inefficient operation of the State Road? If the contractors don’t do a good job, don’t renew their contracts and let someone else see if they can do better.

The present system was established in 1933. It’s time overdue to try a more modern set up with consequences for poor performance and incentives for getting the job done properly and on time!
