Berchtesgaden is a small town situated in the Alps, just across the border in Germany and about an hour from Salzburg. It’s a beautiful little village who’s main tourist highlight is the Eagle’s Nest, the summer lodge built for Hi**er high on top of one of the mountains. Todays post is a little more somber today, but I think it is an important topic to talk. I see many travel posts about seeing all the usual tourist attractions, whether it be London Bridge or Eiffel Tower, but I do not see many posts focusing on the historic aspect of travel and the ones that do only seem to focus on the positive aspects of it. Have you ever gotten in a taxi and driven 2 hours away from your hotel and city? Did you taxi driver not speak english? I did. While staying in Thailand, Daniel and I wanted to visit Ayutthaya because it had some fascinating ruins there. But being Thailand, the public transport system was not reliable or ideal. So We decided to pay a taxi to drive us 2 hours north to visit and bring us back. [ 668 more words. ]

Mount Kosciuszko is a mountain located on the Main Range of the Snowy Mountains in Kosciuszko National Park, part of the Australian Alps National Parks and Reserves, in New South Wales, Australia. With a height of 2,228 metres (7,310 ft) above sea level, it is the highest mountain in Australia. I thought it would be a fun weekend get away to hike to the top of the mountain! I've travelled to some of the best culinary destinations in the world. I've been to France, Italy, Germany, Switzerland and many more. However the best food I've ever eaten came from somewhere a little less traditional.
