Rare RV sighting! Bet you’ve never seen a BMW Motorhome? Well the truth is BMW never really built a motorhome, but the V***n Motor Company built a very cool Motorhome, equipped with a 6 cylinder BMW engine, from 1986-1989. The V***n was marketed as a “sporty” alternative to the large GMC Motorhomes popular at the time. The V***n was only 21 ft long and 7 ft high, with an advertised top speed of 100mph, and fuel economy of 30 miles per gallon! Unfortunately, this sporty RV never really took off, with only 587 sold in 4 years. We spotted this beauty near Vancouver, BC. Pretty cool eh? @ Abbotsford, British Columbia

While passing through New Mexico last week, we made an overnight stop at the Enchanted Trails RV Park on Route 66 in Albuquerque. They have the coolest collection of vintage trailers. Enjoy 😊

We found out yesterday that our Canadian insurance company, TourMed, is using a “travel advisory” loophole to cancel our Covid19 coverage. So, instead of safely self isolating in Arizona, we’re now forced to travel through the virus hot spots of California, Oregon & Washington to get home to Canada 😷

Last week, before we started “social distancing”, we visited Selma & Montgomery, Alabama. It was a very somber experience. Selma was where the infamous “Bloody Sunday” attack on a peaceful civil rights March happened. The March, led by Dr. Martin Luther King, started at the Edmund Potus bridge in Selma and ended two weeks later at the State Capital building in Montgomery. The March was held to highlight the oppression of black voter rights in 1965 Alabama. In addition to retracing the path of the March, we also visited the church & home of Dr Martin Luther King, and the Rosa Parks Museum. A very interesting and thought provoking trip. @ Selma to Montgomery Trail. Selma Interpretive Center

You know how sometimes you meet someone and you just “click”? Well, that’s exactly what happened last night when we finally met Susan & Jamie.

I (Linda) have been chit-chatting with Susan on Instagram for almost a year now and our conversations have always been easy and fun.

And we always seem to be visiting the same places, just never at the same time! But we finally ended up in the same place at the same time last night.

Thanks again Susan & Jamie () for the fun-filled get together last night. Can’t wait to do it again 😊

One of our favourite things about full-time travel is all the wonderful people we’ve met along the way....

We met Leslie & Darrin at a Harvest Host in Alabama about a year ago. When we pulled into the winery we noticed two other RVs already parked. We went in for a wine tasting and started chatting with the two couples at the bar. The conversation eventually got around to “so where are you headed?” We we’re shocked when Leslie said, “oh, we’re going the the RV Entrepreneur Summit at Lake Guntersville.” Our response... “OMG!! That’s where we’re going!!”

So, we spent the next two weeks together at the RVE Summit, then we traveled together to Nashville, TN & Asheville, NC. We parted ways after almost a month together, but stayed in touch through social media. Then we ran into each other again this year and were able to spend a couple weeks together in the Florida Keys.

Building great friendships on the road is possible if you put yourself out there and then keep in touch.
