District Canvas District Canvas, LLC is a Washington, D.C. based art management and consulting firm.

It was founded in 2015 by three art loving collectors Bobby Cato, Nickia Jackson and Maceo Thomas. The three brought their skill set and knowledge base together to cultivate the next generation of artists & art collectors by emphasizing the contributions of African Americans through innovative experiences that build life long learning relationships between artists and audiences.

Call for art and artists!

Capoeira DC is celebrating our 15 year anniversary. As part of our 15 Days of Capoeira, we will have a fundraising art show at the academy (2008 Rhode Island Ave. NE) on Friday, Sept 29th from 7-9pm.

We are requesting donations of art pieces that are ready for a new home. We are also looking for artists to submit work and especially create CapoeiraDC themed pieces.

Donor and studio will split the sales price 50/50.

Please submit donated pieces to the studio by Wednesday, Sept 20th. If artists are creating new pieces they will have additional time. Submit questions to Maceo via text 202-285-4529 or email [email protected]

Share with friends, family and your favorite artists.

Do you have a piece that represents "courage"? District Canvas, DJ Stylus & Adrienne Fikes "The SoulPower Coach" are presenting the second The Listening Party in early March. We are looking for a piece that represents courage that would be used as the cover piece for the digital download. Ideally, the original would be available for sale as well as prints.

Please inbox any pieces you want to put under consideration.
