Thought we’d give an update after the storm.

The eye was just a few miles south of us so Rotonda West was inside the “eyewall” for a long time and had 6+ hours of sustained winds likely between 80 and 100 mph (130-160 kph). Gusts likely were a lot higher. There was some flooding in the area, but it didn’t impact us.

No one was there at the time, so all are safe. Hoping for the best for our friends and neighbors.

Damage for us was only minor. We’ll need to replace the screen in the pool cage and a few soffits.

Other than that there’s just a whole lot of landscaping that needs work. No trees down but some are leaning really bad and will need to be removed.

And the mailbox needs a good kick to straighten it up!
