My girlfriend and I would really like to travel, but we are limited on money. Is there anyway I could travel across the US by picking up part time jobs somehow? I wouldn't really know how to pick up part time jobs since I wouldnt be living in that state. Is there any programs like WWOOF that offers pay instead of food/shelter

If it was easy to earn money when traveling, we'd all do it. These suggestions are not for everyone, for sure, but I'm actually not kidding when I suggest them:
Busking. Do you play an instrument? Can you come up with a mime act? Wear a character costume? Be a living statue? Dress up as a historic person from the places you are visiting?
Live s*x cam work. If you both have an outgoing, s*xual personality, are not nervous about the world seeing you engaged in s*x (and you stay at hotels with privacy and good internet), this may be an option. If you are a young, attractive couple and your personalities are more engaging than cardboard, you'll stand out.
The other option I can think of is to stay at a resort town for a whole summer and try to get summer work. Your summer will look more like "work" and less like "vacation", but you can find time to have fun. People who do this are frequently from countries where they know how to live frugally and don't have high expectations about living conditions.
