MYANMAR 🇲🇲 This UNESCO designated Biosphere Reserved is the second largest natural lake in Myanmar located in the middle of the great depression in Nyaungshwe valley between the two parallel mountain ranges running north to south in the southern Shan State. This vast picturesque lake, located 900 meters above sea-level is one of the main tourist attractions in Myanmar. The lake, 22 km long and 10 km across, has a population of some 200,000 and many of whom live on floating islands of vegetation. Inle Lake, natural and unpolluted, is famous for its scenic beauty and the unique leg-rowing of the Inthas, the native lake dwellers.
