California moved closer to decriminalizing psychedelic mushrooms with a bill that passed the legislature and awaits the governor’s approval.

This means that California could soon become a pioneer in the field of psychedelic medicine, opening up new opportunities for research, education, therapy, tourism, and commerce. And what better way to capitalize on this emerging market than with a domain name that reflects the state’s identity and culture?

If you are looking for a domain name that captures the essence of one of the hottest trends in health and wellness, look no further than CaliMushrooms.com.

"New study offers a detailed glimpse into the otherworldly encounters produced by the psychedelic drug DMT

A new study published in Frontiers in Psychology provides an in-depth look at the types of otherworldly experiences that people have when they take a high dose of the psychedelic substance dimethyltryptamine (DMT). The findings provide new insight on the complex dimensions of the DMT experience.

The participants inhaled 54.5 mg of DMT on average. Immediately after the DMT experience subsided, the researchers conducted an in-depth interview, which was recorded and later transcribed. Nearly all the participants reported contacting another sentient being or entering into a totally different environment.

'These meetings were also overwhelmingly positive, with over half of participants conveying the entities’ enchanting nature, often including their benevolence (compared to only 8% suggesting some menace to their demeanor). Almost half felt some, usually ‘telepathic,’ communication from the entity, mostly happening to be on the subject of cosmic insight (such as the game-like nature of reality) or love for others and oneself.'"

But how can we tell if the insights received while under psychedelics are true? In a recent talk for the UCL Society for the Application of Psychedelics, Johns Hopkins’ cognitive neuropsychopharmacologist Manoj Doss said it’s likely that psychedelics can evoke illusory insights, or the feeling of a profound insight that is misattributed to ideas that arise during a psychedelic experience.

The study of false—sober—insights teaches us to be wary of accepting every realization from psychedelic trips without critical thinking.

Through 31 in-depth interviews, ceremonies in which Palestinians and Israelis drink ayahuasca together have been investigated. The overarching question guiding this inquiry was how psychedelics might contribute to processes of peacebuilding, and in particular how an intercultural context, embedded in a protracted conflict, would affect the group’s psychedelic process in a relational sense

Psychedelics are used in many group contexts. However, most phenomenological research on psychedelics is focused on personal experiences. This paper presents a phenomenological investigation centered on intersubjective and intercultural relational processes, exploring how an intercultural context af...

Whether a psychoactive drug will bring about utopia or dystopia is a question not limited to fiction but rather increasingly salient in our modern world. As the likelihood that psychedelic drugs will be available medically and through state legislation has increased, so too has a common refrain popular in the 1950s and 1960s: that widespread psychedelic use will contribute to the creation of a better society—a world in which people are anti-war, pro-environment, and filled with love and appreciation for their fellow humans.

Some advocates claim that widespread psychedelic use will change the world for the better. But it’s not so simple.

The UK is experiencing a psychedelic renaissance. Young people in England and Wales are taking three times more L*D than they did five years ago, scientists at top universities are claiming hallucinogens can revolutionise how we treat mental illness and the use of magic mushrooms has been increasing by around 40 percent year on year.

Music festivals are awash with recreational trippers, but we also see how psychedelics have become a new health craze by attending a shamanic magic mushroom ceremony in which 50 people trip out in a London warehouse. Despite studies showing that psychedelics are some of the safest drugs you can take, we meet one person who spilled a bottle of acid on himself and never stopped hallucinating.

What is making this new generation of drug takers so interested in self-transformation? And as the self-help trend grows, what happens when thousands of people start trying to solve their mental health problems themselves by taking powerful hallucinogens in unregulated settings?

More than 20 years after our research began, the U.S. House of Representatives has taken a step that may, eventually, lead to support for post-approval research of M**A-assisted therapy for PTSD. The report for House Resolution 4502 directs the National Institute of Health (NIH) agencies to, for the first time, undertake and fund research into psychedelic-assisted therapies and potential benefits of cannabis The bill passed the House in late July and will next be sent to the Senate Appropriations Committee. If passed and enacted, some of the nearly $150 million of funding allocated to PTSD research may eventually advance research into psychedelic-assisted therapy for PTSD.

The brilliance of electricity was a recurring metaphor for peyote’s scintillating visions: the very first subject in the initial scientific trials in the United States in 1895 had compared them to the dazzling electric illuminations he had witnessed at the Chicago World’s Fair two years previously.
