“Karlie’s townhouse is a great base to explore the Whistler area from. It was such a relaxing place to come back to after a day on the mountain. There was plenty of room for our party of 6 and it was a breeze to get to and from the village, whether by foot, car, or free bus. We also used the well stocked kitchen to make a few meals. Karlie was very responsive and communicative. Highly recommended!”

That time I created a mess… and a mural for our master ensuite in the Whistler Chalet Getaway 🤩🙋🏻‍♀️🏔️💙 here it is as a work in progress. The actual painting of it took about 4 full days. But there was a lot planning and sketching iterations before that. Being a matte painter and concept artist was really useful in being able to digitally paint different concepts on actual pictures of the wall I took. This provided me with a better sense of proportions and the impact each design could have on the space.

And if you’re wondering … the answer is YES- I am absolutely itching to make another one. But I don’t think it will be until next spring or next fall. Maybe it’ll be in the form of an extra large wall size canvas vs on the wall to switch things up. What would you like to see?

There are definitely pros about being an artist, having a certificate in digital marketing, and owning an airbnb! I get to mix a bunch of my passions together to offer a comfy stay, and a great experience. We are family friendly! This is the real deal! Having kids is chaos. So the nice, clean, beautiful photos of what the chalet looks like when you walk in are definitely worth sharing, but the cozy mess that happens right after you step in the door is equally interesting to me. This is what our mess looks like (part of it lol). And yes, we have -not one, but TWO Baby Bjorn pack and plays with sheets for your family needs. And more! 🫶

This pic is taken in our bunk room. All our rooms can fit a pack and play. (2 in the bunk room, 1 in the queen room, and 2 in the master)

Our family friendly items include:

Building the life you love is important. Being able to share the places you love in your life, that’s a blessing. I find inspiration amidst the majestic peaks and whispering pines. Whistler is a true place of wonder, in snow and sunshine. And I feel absolutely grateful that I can share this place with others, by offering my chalet for rent so that others can use it as their own and build their lasting memories here with friends and family. Thanks to all my great guests for an amazing first winter, and I look forward to hosting my first summer 🫶🚪

Given the effects of el Nino, the for is a hot topic right now. There are a lot of weather websites and apps out there, but I would recommend these 4 as a good source of weather for the resort:

1) Whistler Peak - Setup and maintained by a local in Whistler (thanks Brad!). Offers a combination of weather forecast, mountain cams and more.

2) SpotWx - Offers very detailed weather forecasts. Link below is for Roundhouse Lodge on Whistler.
