The beautiful city at the Elbe river belongs through the wealth of its cultural and art treasures to the prettiest cities of Europe. At the end of World War II Dresden was almost totally destroyed within 3 days fire-bombing, about 30.000 people died!
Today the city of Dresden presents itself after decades of reconstruction in its old splendour again. Welcome to Dresden (pronounced Draaay-zen)

Heaven on Earth - Slovenia, Heaven in that Heaven - Lake Bled. The place blew me away. Here's to an eye-popping journey! Cheers!

Lake Bled is a lake in the Julian Alps of the Upper Carniolan region of northwestern Slovenia, where it adjoins the town of Bled. This place seems to be pure, almost sort of removed from modern world's pollution etc Just a glimpse of the color (literally aquamarine) and transparency of the Lake water will tell you what I mean.

The lake is of mixed glacial and tectonic origins. It is 2,120 m (6,960 ft) long and 1,380 m (4,530 ft) wide, with a maximum depth of 29.5 m (97 ft) and has a small island (Bled Island). The lake is situated in a picturesque environment, surrounded by mountains and forests. The medieval-era Bled Castle stands above the lake on the north shore. The Zaka Valley lies at the west end of the lake.

The World Rowing Championships in 1966, 1979, 1989 and 2011 were held at Lake Bled.

In winter, when everything ices over, Lake Bled literally appears like a time-capsule fairytale land. In fact, the kingdom at the heart of the movie Frozen, was inspired by Lake Bled.

I left a piece of my heart in Lake Bled, and will soon go back to fetch it :)

The culture of Budapest is reflected by Budapest's size and variety. Most Hungarian cultural movements first emerged in the city.

Budapest is an crucial center for music, film, theatre, dance and visual art. Artists have been drawn into the city by opportunity, as the city government funds the arts with adequate financial resources. Budapest is headquarter of the Hungarian LGBT community :)

Budapest is mesmerizing, gobsmacking and breath-taking. No wonder Wes Anderson was compelled to make an entire movie based on its beauty :)

Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia, and with a population of about 450,000, the country's largest city. It occupies both banks of the River Danube and the left bank of the River Morava. Bordering Austria and Hungary, it is the only national capital that borders two independent countries.

Bratislava is the political, cultural and economic heart of Slovakia. It is the seat of the Slovak president, the parliament and the Slovak Executive. It is home to several universities, museums, theatres, galleries and other important cultural and educational institutions.

The history of the city has been strongly influenced by people of different nations and religions, namely by Austrians, Croats, Czechs, Germans, Hungarians, Jews, Serbs and Slovaks (in alphabetical order hehe). The city was the capital of the Kingdom of Hungary, a part of the larger Habsburg Monarchy territories, from 1536 to 1783 and has been home to many Slovak, Hungarian and German historical figures.

A gorgeous city that is made of wild skies, art, dreams and music. The city of Sigmund Freud, Strauss, Klimt, Beethoven etc... Cheers!

On to Hallein Salt Mine & Salzburg

Såizburg (literally: "Salt Fortress") is the fourth-largest city in Austria and the capital of the federal state of Salzburg.

Salzburg's "Old Town" (Altstadt) is internationally renowned for its baroque architecture and is one of the best-preserved city centers north of the Alps. It was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. The city has three universities and a large population of students. Tourists also frequent the city to tour the city's historic center and the scenic Alpine surroundings.

Salzburg was the birthplace of 18th-century composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In the mid‑20th century, the city was the setting for the musical play and film The Sound of Music.
The scenic drive to and from Salzburg is mesmerising and oh so gratifying.

Prague has been a political, cultural, and economic centre of central Europe with waxing and waning fortunes during its 1,100-year existence. Founded during the Romanesque and flourishing by the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque eras, Prague was not only the capital of the Czech state, but also the seat of two Holy Roman Emperors and thus also the capital of the Holy Roman Empire. It was an important city to the Habsburg Monarchy and its Austro-Hungarian Empire and after World War I became the capital of Czechoslovakia.

Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions including the Prague Castle, the Charles Bridge, Old Town Square with the Prague astronomical clock, the Jewish Quarter, Petřín hill and Vyšehrad. Since 1992, the extensive historic centre of Prague has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

Prague is wonderfully deeply beautiful. Cheers!

Norwegian hills, fjords, thick greens, whites, ice-lakes, perfectly still waters contradicted by fierce gushing waterfalls, local art ... - its almost too much one's heart and eyes can bear. Don't blink while you're there. Or you'll miss something of everlasting beauty! Cheers!

Voss-Myrdal-Flam-Gudvangen-Oslo. The most scenic journey of the Norwegian countryside there can be.

Tallinn - the heart of Estonia.

The oldest building in Tallinn is Dominican St. Catherine’s Monastery and dates back to 1246; Music is the primary religion of the city; It has secret passageways - a labyrinth of 17th century tunnels - that were used in WWII as bomb shelters; and the beach water isnt salty! I tasted it and it was bloody sweet!
Tallinn gave me many reasons to go back there soon, and here are a few snippets of the wonderful little charming city in Estonia.

Welcome to Helsinki!

Helsinki is made up of many islands, has more women than men living there, does not receive sunshine for 13% of the year, the city has a huge bunny problem & it is the North's Gay Capital. In short, Helsinki is awesome sauce!
