PHASA Statement on Recent Developments
The Professional Hunters' Association of South Africa (PHASA) acknowledges the recent executive order highlighting government-sponsored discrimination in South Africa, as well as the accompanying suspension of U.S. aid.
PHASA reassures its members, clients, and partners that South Africa remains a safe and welcoming destination for hunters and visitors. We encourage everyone to proceed with their travel plans and continue supporting our conservation-driven hunting industry. Your ongoing commitment is vital to the livelihoods of our members and the conservation of South Africa’s natural resources.

We are thrilled that the Safari Club International - SCI show in Nashville was such a tremendous success and would like to thank all those who stopped by our booth, whether old friends or new. Initial reports indicate that the show has achieved record-breaking attendance. Hunting in America 🇺🇲 is great again! Thanks Bob Wallace , Joss Fernandez and for your help too!!

Francois and Eardley head home for a brief pit stop and then return to Utah where they will be at the Mule Deer Foundation Western Outdoor Expo show from 13 to 16 February. Be sure to visit them in booth 1918!

Francois and Eardley toured Texas after the DSC show in Atlanta and are attending Safari Club International - SCI in Nashville now.

They had a blast as they met with old friends and making new ones along the way. Texas is a fantastic state, where hunting and visiting around the deer camp fire pit is part of the culture and in the recent words of President Trump, "we're going to drill, baby drill", we wish our Texan family everything of the best! 🇨🇱

Find Eardley, Bob and Francois at booth #1450 in Nashville as they complete their 1st tour of the marketing season. They will return for the Salt Lake City show in February. Good Hunting🇺🇲🇿🇦

Our DSC show for 2025 in Atlanta is all wrapped up. The pioneering move to Atlanta was always going to be about change, but we are happy to say despite the snow and cold weather, we had relative success at the show. It was great to reconnect with old friends and we look forward to expanding on the new contacts and friendships we made during the show. Thank-you also to our old friend Bob Wallace for helping us!

We now look forward to the Safari Club International - SCI Show in Nasville the week after next. Come visit us at booth #1450 and let's make it happen! 🇿🇦🇺🇲💯

2024 has by all accounts been a record year for Blaauwkrantz Safaris. We hosted almost 200 hunters and harvested a record amount of animals too.

So it was fitting to welcome back local outdoors adventurer, Eddie Mortimer, from Pretoria who rifle a hunted a bushpig here in December 2016. Eddie wanted to try bow hunt for a bushpig boar this time on his annual trip down from Pretoria along the Garden Route. Eddie arrived and the first two evenings did not deliver, although Eddie and Eardley saw bushpigs but could not get a bow shot at the boar. Yesterday, on the third evening, Eddie managed to arrow the boar to seal not only an exhilarating experience for him but a record breaking season for Blaauwkrantz too!

We look forward to 2025 that shows a lot of promise after more incredible rains this year. Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year to all our friends out there!! 🐗🎄🎊🎉🇿🇦

Our two couples from Utah are safely back home after hunting Blaauwkrantz and then taking an adventure packed week-long tour down the Garden Route with Jaco and his Blue Pebbles Tours.

There is something special about combining a hunting trip in the Eastern Cape and touring the one-of-a- kind Garden Route to Cape Town. Certainly a bucket list trip for any adventurer!

It was great having Chris back at Blaauwkrantz after 17 years too. We look forward to seeing you at the Salt Lake City Great Outdoor Expo again!

The last week has been just another regular week on Blaauwkrantz. A dozen local hunters, international cull hunters from Utah and Mark from Up State New York sealing it with some fantastic trophies. The sun never sets on Blaauwkrantz, congratulations to everyone involved!! 🇿🇦

Chris and Dave returned back to Texas🇨🇱 this morning after a memorable safari with PH Eric. 2×1 hunts are a fantastic way for two friend and associates to make memories that will last a lifetime. From a wounded bushbuck charge that sent a dog to the vet for a a few days, to a wounded buffalo that ended in favour of the brave hunters, the hunt truly made memories that the men will remember as long as they live. Congratulations guys, we look forward seeing you back at Blaauwkrantz with the rest of your families soon!!

Over last few days Blaauwkrantz has had hunters from Mauritius, Tennessee, Texas and Mexico hunting hard for trophies and culls. Conditions are warming up but the hunting around here has been even hotter. To make it even more special, these are all hunters returning to Blaauwkrantz since 2009.

Returning for their third safari at Blaauwkrantz since 2014, father and son team Ross and Mason came with a mission to fill their new trophy room back in Louisiana. During ten days of solid hunting that also took them to the highlands of the Eastern Cape, PH Francois helped them with their exciting mission. From their stories, the memories made during their September Safari are as impressive as the animals they hunted.

Congratulations guys, you have some exceptional Eastern Cape trophies to take back to Cajun country!👏🏻

After meeting with Eardley and Francois in Downtown San Antonio in January 2012, Jeff and Caroline decided to hunt Blaauwkrantz later that year and, no thanks to Covid, after 12 years the couple returned to Blaauwkrantz, with a bang! Welcome back, Jeff and Caroline!

It's always great to see so many of our hunters return, even if it takes 12 years!

A quick update after a busy two weeks on Blaauwkrantz! Between a family group from Texas and a lovely couple from Sweden, we managed to fit in some local hunters into the mix too! Some great hunting was experienced here with conditions drying off quite a bit and after a colder winter, we look forward to our management hunters arriving to help finish off what has been a great season so far.

Just a quick glance at bookings for next year and it already looks like we are set for another cracker💥So be sure to contact Zani to check for open dates that are still available for 2025.
