I see this conversation a lot in groups, and tonight I spent time to explain and share my thoughts about the value of travel agents. I'd love to help you for any of your vacation planning. I find that most people that have never used a travel agent don't understand - until they have used my services. Then, it's like magic....

Here are my comments to a local mom group about a mom that complained about her travel agent (not me)..

I have seen so many posts in my local groups and I just wanted to reiterate how a Travel Agent (ME Adventure the World Travels - Christy Scheeler) can help you...

As a small business and an agency owner, I have worked to build my business for many years. Yes, you can certainly buy any trip you want on Expedia, Southwest Vacations, United Vacations, Royal Caribbean, Disney, etc. But, a travel agents job is to BENEFIT YOU in any and all ways possible. We are YOUR advocate and voice to find the right vacation for you.

If you rewind your most recent trip, can you remember when you thought about where you wanted to go or why? Perhaps your travel agent talked with you and based on your conversation had some recommmendations for you and that's what they presented to you.

The thing is, vacations just don't materialize. You either do the research to find what is right for you, or you have an idea and through conversation, your travel agent, with their expertise, helps you find experiences you never even realized where what you were looking for. Had you not talked to them, you may not have known what or who or how to go about booking. You also may not have had that really unique experience because you didn't know - but we do. My agency has a network of experts in the field that we partner with and that will enhance your vacation so much more than you know.

Also, having a travel agent in your corner usually costs nothing, and should something go wrong, it really pays to have us in your corner to help navigate issues. If you have a Travel Agent, be happy your TA is looking out to find the best package for you. We have access to so many platforms and we do all the searching to find the right one each and every time. No client is the same - EVER, so no package or cruise should be the same either. We are looking out for you and trust me... I can't tell you how many clients I have that never used a TA that love being able to call me to ask questions rather than a 1-800 #.
