Death Valley Off Road. 😎

Happy first day of spring from Death Valley National Park! The official start of spring (vernal equinox) in the Northern Hemisphere occurs when the sun passes into the northern celestial hemisphere. Today the direct rays of the sun will pass over the equator twice, giving us an "equality of night and day" (approximately 12 hours each) which is the origin of the Latin word "equinox."

A pot farm roughly 40 acres in size, tended to by growers who have threatened hikers, has been discovered in a remote corner of Death Valley National Park by rangers.

Good morning DVOR’ers. Happy Thursday and no matter the shelter-in-place day, we hope you’re doing well. Stay safe and maybe get in a quick run out somewhere. We all need a smile every now and then and Death Valley National Park social media is doing a great job! Huge shout out on the “shelter in place champions!” 🤣🤣.

Truly uncharted times 4x4’ers. Hang in there! Let’s collectively come together. Oasis, a favorite of ours in Furnace Creek, just announced that they are closing until May 21.
