A well known, top Saudi executive with a proven record of achievements in the banking sector of Saudi Arabia Mr. Al-Hamdan is the former Deputy Managing Director of the Saudi British Bank (SABB) where he was responsible for all customer-facing Departments in the Bank including Corporate & Commercial Banking, Private Banking, the entire Branch Network plus Institutional Banking. He holds a Master of Business Administration Concentration on Two Majors: Management & Organization and Marketing from The University of New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He joined the company in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial department of the company and has since been elevated to Deputy CEO NAS Holding. In 1998 he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The American University in Washington DC. He is the Chief Executive Officer of nasair, the Saudi Low Cost Carrier based in Riyadh. In the past 25 years, he’s gained experience in schedule, charter and corporate aviation both on management and instructor pilot roles. He began in VIP operations on DC-9 and LearJet based in Singapore before he was involved into special missions for the Red Crescent during the first Gulf War and the United Nations (UN) in Afghanistan. In 1996 he co-founded and launched SwissWorld, a long-haul schedule airline based in Geneva operating B767 to serve mainly New York. He has spent over 5 years in the Swissair Group on MD-80 and Avro fleets (Swiss) as pilot and dealing with special projects. In 2003, he co-founded and launched Flybaboo, a regional airline operating fleets of E190 and Dash 8-Q400, serving as COO, co-CEO and instructor pilot. Alumni of ENSR, Mr François Bouteiller studied commercial and economics at Lausanne University (HEC) and in 2009, completed PED, an MBA program at IMD Lausanne. He graduated in 1993 as a Computer Engineer from The College of Computer & Information Technology at K.S.U. He later joined SABB IT department in 1994 as a project leader for ATM systems, and was assigned as an IT Development Manager in 2001. During that time he was in charge of heading a team responsible for all mission critical systems of the bank, such as the ATM system, Call Center, Internet Banking, B2B, SADAD, credit card system, Website and Intranet. He holds a bachelor’s degree in CIS from Clarion University, PA and a Diploma in Financial Planning from the Institute of Banking in Riyadh. This, along with a mixture of career experiences ranging from various industries such as Media, Banking and Investment makes Mr. Turki an ambassador of diverse business entities. His tenure at nasair began as Deputy Director Ground Operation Service, where he raised the level of customer satisfaction. Turki now oversees the international sales force and key account managers for an operation that serves markets reaching through the Middle East, North Africa and into South Asia. Waleed Mohammed Al-Shaikh,Director, Marketing & Communication
Waleed has holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia, and he also participated in dozens of important training courses in the Kingdom and abroad. He is also certified as an instructor in cultural change programs by many international companies. Currently he is leading the marketing and public relations team at nasair, to communicate with customers through marketing, promotional and media campaigns. He takes pride in his work at nasair Saudi Arabia's first LCC and considers it one of his richest experiences. He also takes pride in his work with STC as the head of Advertising & Publicity, then becoming the Director of Change and communications. Later, he was appointed PR & Programs Director where he established corporate CSR and then he became the Marketing Communications Director. He says that the one of the most distinctive experiences in his career was when he lead the Culture Change Program, which aimed to change the professional culture of the employees of STC, which was being privatized at the time, and Which also faced stiff competition with market liberalization. He also says that the beginning of his career as an analyst business in Saudi Aramco, before moving to the Dallah Al Baraka in March 1994 as manager for the group’s public relations, was a real education in training for professional work before joining Shandwick International Communication Group Affiliate in Saudi Arabia and the GCC in 1998, as the Manager of Customer Services where he oversaw the Saudi exhibition in South Africa, and the inauguration of King Fahad International Airport. www.flynas.com
