Once every 12 years, the spiritual community of Dolpo, Nepal, unites for Shelri Dugra—a four-day celebration marked by archery competitions, gatherings, and joyous festivities.

Centered around Shey Gompa and the revered Crystal Mountain, this festival is a profound expression of faith and tradition. Pilgrims from across the region, and indeed the world, converge to partake in sacred ceremonies, blessings, and the ancient ritual of circumambulation, believed to cleanse the soul and fortify the spirit.

🌳 Welcome to one of the most areas on the planet, Tambopata National Reserve, in the beating heart of the Peruvian Rainforest!

🌳The reserve contains some of the most well-preserved and untouched sections of the Amazon rainforest. It is home to an astonishing array of flora and fauna, including over 600 bird species, 1,200 butterfly species, 169 mammal species, and 1,200 types of tropical trees, although it is best known for the many colourful parrots and macaws that feed on clay licks.

🌳We stayed at Tambopata Research Center back in 2019, and still count it as one of the most incredible, Nature-immersive experiences of our lives.

Many say that the view of Mount Everest from Pikey Peak is one of the best in Nepal. That’s a bold statement, but Sir Edmund Hillary himself claimed it to be his favorite, and we’re inclined to agree.

🏔 With our local partners, we have designed an incredible itinerary in the little-traveled Solu Khumbu region, filled with everything we all dream about Nepal: jaw-dropping Himalayan scenery, mountaneering lore, Sherpa traditions, and very few other travellers.
