Family affordable luxury was the brief yesterday. We have had so much fun exploring options and finally settled on Camps Bay Cape Town. A luxury beachfront hotel, with the Twelve Apostles mountain range as the back drop and perfectly placed with the Atlantic on its doorstep. This hotel provides the opportunity to indulge in casual opulence, four restaurants to choose from, a private beach club, a gym, and luxurious spa facilities are all available to guests.

With the variety of images for this property really lacking on the interweb we may well have to arrange a little trip to put this right! Watch this space.

A crisp morning this week reminded me of family time we used to spend skiing, destination Verbier. With the incredible choice of 4 valleys there is something for everyone, an absolute skiers paradise! We have many hotels in the region we can recommend including the sumptuous offering from The Lodge, nine stunning bedrooms and suites, an indoor pool, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis and a friendly team of experienced staff including a spa therapist and Michelin-star trained chefs, what more could you want after a hard day on the slopes.

Came across this little gem today just perfect for families and offering a little more than your standard kids holiday club 'Bahia del Duque'. This resort is the ultimate playground with plenty to keep young children occupied including games by the pools, painting workshops, sports competitions, cookery lessons and mini-discos, so whilst the little ones are off being occupied you can grab your book and a mojito and head for the sun or treat yourself at the luxurious spa.

We have the most wonderful job of sharing our extensive expertise and booking our clients holidays all over the world. Every so often we can't help but reminisce about somewhere we have been & would love to see others visit, today we are thinking about Lewa House, Kenya.

An exquisite family orientated safari lodge with views reaching Mount Kenya. Morning and evening safaris with the opportunity to see the Big 5, can be followed by a lounge by the pool, whilst watching local wildlife rehydrating at the watering hole. Tuesday Travels; it's becoming more autumnal almost by the hour and we are reminiscing back to a short break in Marrakech. The Kasbah Tamadot is an award winning hotel situated in the stunning Atlas mountains. The views are simply spectacular, a few days here with a little healthy eating, and an indulgence at the spa will soon have you feeling refreshed and fabulous.

Our own family holiday this year was in the beautiful town of Kalkan, Turkey. We had the most amazing suite, minimal & stylish, laid out over over two floors with our own private whirlpool bath. Set high above the coast, the views are breath-taking and all at a very reasonable price for the last week of school holidays!

This was a simple and yet luxurious break, with the added value of a Turkish bath experience and a full day out excursion on the hotel traditional gullet boat, The Poseidon. This is a truly stunning location worth considering for your family holiday next year.

We have been keeping an eye on Ubud in Bali for a while. Earlier this year saw the opening of Capella, a Bill Bensley-designed ultra-luxurious tented camp for romantic adventurers.

Nestled between rainforest and paddy fields, the camp’s sumptuously appointed tented retreats and the two bedroom lodge each have a salt water pool and some of these have direct access to the sacred Wos River, source of inspiration for the Balinese.

No trees were felled during the creation of Capella Ubud, Bali, ensuring a back-to-nature experience as authentic as can be.

Gastronomists are at the right address with four delightful dining options: Mads Lange; the camp’s dining room, Api Jiwa, the highly interactive and bespoke Asian BBQ that seats just 16 guests as well as The Camp Fire and The Mortar and Pestle Bar.

Lively Ubud is a centre of artisan crafts and traditional Balinese dance performances. The nearby Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is a nature reserve with a Hindu temple complex.
