Coffee for houses ☕🏠

Today we had a tour in Käpylä, a beautiful Helsinki neighborhood known for its beautiful wooden houses, a testament to Finland’s timber expertise and architecture.

Finnish wooden houses became famous worldwide for their high quality and ease of assembly. These prefabricated wooden homes were exported globally, including to Colombia.

As part of Finland's post-war recovery efforts and Colombia's coffe bonanza a deal was made to exchange coffee for houses.

Today, these houses still stand in Barranquilla, Colombia. 😎

While the auroras are often associated with cold, clear winter nights, late summer brings its own opportunities, especially when solar activity is high.
To improve your chances of seeing the Northern Lights in Helsinki, seek out dark, open areas with minimal light pollution, and be prepared to stay up late, as the best viewing times are typically around midnight. Even though the lights might not be as vivid as in more northern areas, the experience of seeing them in a city like Helsinki is still quite special.💯👍
