To mark its 200th anniversary the National Gallery of London stages a major exhibition of the paintings of Vincent Van Gogh in autumn 2024. Van Gogh: Poets and Lovers also marks the centenary of the Gallery’s acquisition of the artist’s Sunflowers and Van Gogh’s Chair (1888), two of its most famous pictures, in 1924.
The Gallery’s first exhibition devoted to the artist is the first to focus on Van Gogh’s imaginative transformations. It features over 50 works and loans from museums and private collections around the world, including important pictures from the Kröller Müller Museum, Otterlo, Netherlands, the Van Gogh Museum, Amsterdam, and the Musée d’Orsay, Paris.

Standing nearly 30 metres high over the Forth & Clyde Canal, Scotland, The Kelpies are actually the largest pair of equine sculptures in the world. Scottish artist Andy Scott designed these sculptures as a tribute to Scotland’s engineering progress and the Falkirk area’s industrial heritage. A kelpie is a shape-changing aquatic spirit of Scottish legend. The kelpie appears to their human victoms as a grey or white hotse, entices them to ride on their back, then carries them down to a watery grave.

Our second stop on the journey was Chereo Camp, @kantabileafrika nestled in the heart of the central Serengeti, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the endless plains.
