After the tasting, you can buy by the glass or a bottle to go of your favorite(s). Meet others, mingle and talk about travel. You may meet a new travel buddy!

All signs keep pointing me to Lebanon. I met the owner of Jet Wine Bar, Jill Weber at an event we teamed up on with Sisterly Love Collective the other week. Since I had been to Jet prior and saw they poured arak and Lebanese wines, we got to talking about Lebanon. Turns out, she had lived in Syria and is an archeologist - a super cool person! I told her about the group trip that I'm planning in September and the idea to host a sip & learn there. To my surprise, she was hosting a Lebanese wine tasting event that following week. It was true kismet! There, I met the winemaker of Mersel Wine, and now, he's going to be involved in the itinerary so we can break bread in Lebanon. I love when things like that happen!

For me, those kinds of moments are what travel is all about. Finding something new, connecting with people, being curious and putting yourself out there into the world, because it will lead you to incredibly fulfilling moments and widen your comfort zone.

Integrity matters. Leading, giving and loving by example, matters for the future generation. Four years ago I realized that I didn't get all the lessons I hoped that I would learn from you, savored enough moments or wisdom. I thought we had more time, even after the diagnosis and the loss of your speech. But, you and mom have given us the best of you and a wonderful life. I am extremely fortunate. Not everyone gets what I had or the privilege of incredibly generous parents in lessons and action. With great love, comes great loss. Another year goes by, but never, ever forgotten.

When you start to take measure of your life, remember to live with integrity and be genuine. Care deeply and take action for others. It will outlive you. I love you dad. That’s the legacy everyone should strive for.
