Next up on our tour of Israel is the infamous Dead Sea!! 🌊 We visited the Dead Sea on the Israel side this trip! 🇮🇱 This salt lake is fed by the Jordan river and bordered by Jordan in the east and the West Bank and Israel on the west. It is the lowest, land based elevation on Earth and it had one of the world first health spas; built for Herrod the Great!! Because of the agreement to use & need for water in the surrounding countries, the Dead Sea is literally disappearing; one foot each year. 😢 People continue to flock to its shores to experience the health benefits from its mud and water and float in its super salty water. The salt rock bottom HURT & made it difficult to walk in (even with shoes on)! The floating was easy but did take core strength to sit up so you could stand. What an opportunity to experience this with friends, my sister in law & my little darling.
