ELSCO Dance was founded by choreographer Ellenore Scott with the goal to redefine the dialogue of dance. Photography by Umi Akiyoshi.

She now shares the company with Co-Artistic Director, Jeffrey Gugliotti, an original company member before coming Rehearsal Director in 2015. ELSCO Dance is a small dance project created by Ellenore Scott in 2011. ELSCO Dance was founded by choreographer and performing artist Ellenore Scott with the goal to redefine the dialogue of dance. Ellenore's strong foundation in concert dance and access to

commercial dance through her appearance on "So You Think You Can Dance?" make her uniquely positioned to bring these two dance worlds together. Ellenore has carved out an impressive career that seamlessly weaves her distinctive and highly praised technical training in modern dance choreography, to her commercial influenced style and “quirkiness” that define her unique lexicon of distinctive crossover hybrid dance. Ellenore is one of the youngest female mixed-race choreographers working in many crossover genres. Her cultural background and sensibilities brings a particularly unique perspective to her work within contemporary and commercial dance. ELSCO Dance embraces its audiences and views them as a partner, not just an observer in her work. The project is looking to engage its audiences beyond a sit and watch experience. The project listens to our viewers, looks for contribution and implements the requests of its audience in an interactive process through social media.ELSCO has performed at The Latin Choreographers Festival, BC Beat, New York Jazz Choreography Project, and the 7th Amalgamate Artists Series. ELSCO Dance is looking forward to having its own season in the Fall 2013 and more small dance festivals in the Tri-State area. Please check back for more ELSCO Dance news.
