It is with great sadness that I can confirm that the Hostel in Knockree is closing it's doors to the Ukrainian families who have been living there. The Community in Enniskerry has welcomed them with open arms and I am so grateful to you all for the support you have shown them.
The Council were only informed in the last weeks of An Oige's decision not to continue with the contract. They have done the same in a few of their other properties.
I am working closely with the Council to find new accommodation in the area, please contact directly if you know of anywhere available or if you want any information on pledging a room or property. Again I can only express my sadness for everyone affected for the Ukrainian people who have become our friends and whose children have been welcomed and attended the local schools.
