Starting my business, as we entered a pandemic, it took a couple of years to get off the ground, then everything with my mom, I feel like the last year and a half has finally allowed my business to start growing. Are you a foodie? Then, I can’t recommend AMA Waterways river ships enough!

On board an AMA Waterways river cruise ship, your menu selections change as you sail through a region. You do not have the same menu every day. Some of the menu items will be focused on regional cuisine.

For those who enjoy an adult beverage, beer and wine are complimentary during lunch and dinner. The wine selection changes as you sail through a region too.
Each day, AMA Waterways has a cocktail hour before dinner. It is served in the lounge for guests to grab a non-alcoholic or adult beverage before dinner. Plus,, you are allowed to carry your drink into the dining room!

How is a river cruise ship different from an ocean cruise ship? The most significant difference is the physical size of the ship. A river cruise ship must conform to the size requirements of the locks they sail through.

Ocean cruise ships usually do not have any physical requirements unless passing under a bridge, such as a New York sailing. An ocean cruise ship will drop anchor and use smaller “tender” boats to ferry their passengers between the shore and the ship.

Because of the size limitations of a river cruise ship, the average number of guests on an AMA Waterways river cruise ship is 154 passengers. An ocean cruise ship can carry thousands and are like small cities!

You have got to put Costa Rica and La Fortuna on your must-do list.

La Fortuna is a picturesque town. It is situated in the Northern Highlands of Costa Rica, about 2.5-3 hours from San Jose's international airport and 2.5 hours from Liberia's international airport.

It has a beautiful park complete with quaint gardens and a large church. The area around the central park offer restaurants, hotels, tour operators, and shop options.
