Everest basecamp Trek 2024

From October 30th to November 10th, 2024, our amazing group friends completed a memorable trek through the beautiful Everest base camp and the sacred Gokyo lake. This journey, organized by Hike with sherpa brought together the thrill of high mountain passes, breathtaking Himalayan views, and the warm hospitality of the local culture.

The Khumjung School, established in 1961 by Sir Edmund Hillary and the Himalayan Trust, holds significant importance within the Sherpa community of Nepal. Located at the Khumjung Village above the Namche Bazzar, it is oldest School in Khumbu Region. It has had a profound impact by empowering generations of Sherpas with knowledge and skills, contributing to socio-economic development and cultural preservation in the region. The school remains a symbol of educational advancement and community support in the Everest area.

May 2024 Everest Base Camp Trek. What an adventure!!! Despite all the challenges, I am super grateful for everyone’s positive energy and cooperation through out this whole trip. We got blessed with amazing weather on the way to base camp and got to see Everest shinning.

May 2024 Everest base camp trek is off to a good start with great weather at Kathmandu. Second day was a bit challenging flying to Lukla due to bad weather but we got very lucky to find a helicopter 🚁 ride to Lukla. Today, we saw our first glimpse of Everest before reaching Namche Bazaar.

Don’t let the horns intimidate you; yaks are actually very friendly animals. Yaks and Naks (female Yaks) are an essential companions in the Himalayas, known for their gentle nature.
