Day #9 - Ride on the LEFT Track of the Matterhorn Bobsleds! The Bobsleds are an absolute staple at Disneyland - so much so that you can't find them anywhere else!
You won't always be able to control which side of the ride you get put on, but it's worth a try! The two sides of the ride are NOT the same! The left track is longer but faster. It is also noted that the left side is the more "wild" side with sharper drops & turns. The left side also has a bigger drop.
Either way you can't go wrong with which side you choose as the right side is said to be a "smoother ride"!

Day #8 - Have you hear of Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar? This is one of my favorite places on property! Unfortunately you won't find in in one of the parks - it is located at the Disneyland Hotel! (some secrets hide in plain sight!)
This restaurant/bar is completely themed after the Jungle Cruise. The Tiki Bar is family friendly until 9pm and then becomes and adult only bar. Trader Sam's uses animatronics, lighting, sound effects & special employee interactions when certain drinks are ordered Here are some examples:
* Shipwreck on the Rocks → The ship in a bottle above the bar encounters stormy seas and begins to sink.
* Krakatoa Punch → The serene Polynesian scene outside the faux window shows a storm gathering as the volcano begins to erupt.
* Shrunken Zombie Head → Certain bar stools will begin lowering toward the floor (this one is great to see)
* Draft Beer → Beer draft handles are carved tiki heads with lighted eyes. When a bartender pulls a draft, tiki drums and chants begin to play. The more drafts that are pulled in succession, the faster the drums and chanting go.
Oh and the food is pretty good too!

Day #7 - Did you know the drawbridge of Sleeping Beauty's Castle at Disneyland is real and functional? It has only been used twice, once in 1955 for the grand opening of Disneyland and then again in 1983 for the rededication of Fantasyland!
On your next trip to Disneyland make sure to explore the winding passageways of the Castle where the epic tale of Princess Aurora is told through spellbinding dioramas. The walkthrough features 3-D displays, sound and stunning special effects. Don't miss the climatic final scene, where Maleficent transforms into a fire-breathing dragon!

Day #6 - Does the Mad Tea Party ruin your day? Do your kids beg to ride the "tea cups" but you know that means you may need to sit for an hour after to recover? Did you know that all of the cups spin at different speeds?!?!
If you want a smoother, slower spin (like me - if you can even get me on the ride), sit in one of the two cups with hearts on the side - they spin the slowest! Want more dizzies? The oranged diamond and purple cups are the fastest!

Day #5 - Earn you "Captain's License"! Did you know that you can "captain" the Mark Twain Riverboat along the Rivers of American?
For a chance at becoming the captain of the ship, simply ask one of the dockside Cast Members in the queue. If another guest, has already asked, you may have to wait for the next sailing of the Mark Twain, but it's worth the short wait to gain passage into the exclusive wheelhouse, which was frequently visited by Walt Disney himself! You'll also get to sign the wheelhouse guestbook and will be presented with a riverboat pilot's license, signed by Walt himself!

Day #4 - Outside food & drink is ALLOWED. We are always trying to find ways to save our clients money on their trips. Disneyland allows outside food and drinks as long as it follows the rules of no alcohol or glass!
The snacks and the meals at Disneyland are all yummy, so make sure to splurge on some of them, but when that mid-afternoon craving strikes and you are in line for Toy Story Mania - just pull out the goldfish, pretzels, candy, or whatever your favorite snack is that you brought into the park and save yourself a few dollars!

Day #3 - Bring your PET to Disneyland! Did you know that you can bring your personal pets when you go to the parks? You can drop your animal pals off at a climate-controlled daycare facility located near the main entrance of the Disneyland Park! Not only can you board your cat or your dog, but you can also choose to board birds, rabbits, some rodents and many other animals legal to own as pets in California
All pets will be boarded in kennels available on a first-come, first served basis. Sorry, no reservations are accepted. Please visit the Disneyland page for information on pet requirements and cost.

Day #2 - Single Rider Secrets!! If you are travelling with a group of adults or older kids and you weren't able to secure a fast pass for a ride try Single Rider! Select attractions have a single rider line which is MUCH shorter where your party can stand in line together, but ride separately.
Single Rider lines are currently available at the following attractions:

* Splash Mountain
* Star Tours

Day #1 - No crying over popped balloons!! Contrary to popular belief the balloons at Disneyland "can" pop - but if they DO, Disneyland will replace the popped balloon free of charge. Just bring the remnants to a balloon vendor and they will give you a new one!
