Saisan Co.Ltd (Saitama City), which handles LP gas and other products, is expanding its sales network to the African continent. It will start selling LP gas there in May in cooperation with Jibu Co Rwanda, in the central part of the continent. The company’s goal of strengthening earnings from overseas operations is to strengthen its business in developing countries, where there is great potential.
Saisan will establish a new local subsidiary in partnership with Jibu, under the name “Jibu Gas One Limited, and the investment ratio is 51% for Saisan and 49% for Jibu.
The main product sold will be LP gas. According to Tomohiko Kawamoto, vice president of
Saisan, “Gas pe*******on is low in Rwanda. When I went on a field trip, I saw some people cooking by making fire with firewood. Gas sales will grow steadily from now on.”
The company will sell gas through Jibu’s sales network, with a plan to place gas filling facilities at locations such as where ‘s water purification facilities are located and sell gas to customers, with a system that is affordable to fill cylinders as much as the customer wants, without having to come up with a lot of money at once.
“For the fiscal year 2024, we would like to establish filling facilities in five locations in Rwanda. It expects to sell about 50 tons per location” (Vice President).
Jibu Gas one will be an energy solution to the Rwanda local market.
