We were delighted to host Santa Clara University Fellows in for their extended research on successful Franchising model.

We believe that their collected data will create a prediction model and rubric to ensure that future franchises are well positioned for success!!

It has been a pleasant journey filled with great learnings, impactful stories, powerful achievements, and stimulated responsible economic growth and independence.

The journey continues! 🎊 With now over 162 successful Franchises launched, operating in 8 countries across Africa, we keep the commitment to promote A Better Life while paving the way to starting a Global movement of micro - franchising for basic necessities and economic development!!

Recap to last week’s delightful moments with the .socent and delegation during their immersion trip in 🇷🇼

It was a pleasant opportunity to widely share the Jibu entrepreneurship experience we’ve had over the years, and exploring the success of the business model in providing easy access to affordable drinking to our communities.

Members of the delegation also had an opportunity of visiting a Jibu operating franchise, to observe the water production process and daily operations!

Concurrently, we had Santa Clara University research fellows Júlia von Gersdorff and Yael Grimaldi for their deep dive on the successful implementation of .

What a delightful time!!☺️

As we continue to build a bigger and better community in partnership with , this Saturday, the 25th May, the Family joined the people of Ngoma district during the monthly community work “Umuganda”.

Ngoma District is one of the Rwandan districts in the Eastern province, where Jibu is represented by the Kibungo Franchise, the community in the area consume Jibu water and other products, but considering the ara to be rural, there’s a consideration number of underserved households that cannot afford the initial 20L Bottle cost.

Among the activities done during “umuganda” was the refining of the road in Mahango sector, where we also distributed 100 Free 20L Tap Bottles, courtesy of Home Pride donation to underprivileged households to help them to have access to safe drinking water!

Members of these households are eager to use safe drinking water for their family, and they can afford water refill costs despite their inability to purchase the initial bottle.

“Now it will be easier for me because my family will be able to drink clean and safe water and their health will be better. We used to drink unsafe water because of the laziness of cooking it and the lack of firewood, so now the money we used to buy firewood will be used to buy safe water from Jibu.” Mukampangaje Diane, one of the beneficiaries who receive a free Bottle.

It was a humbling honor that we got the time to build a bigger customer bond while continuing our commitment to promoting A better Life to our community. We shall continue to support the community of underserved families by collecting impact stories of life changing experiences from this partnership.

Saisan Co.Ltd (Saitama City), which handles LP gas and other products, is expanding its sales network to the African continent. It will start selling LP gas there in May in cooperation with Jibu Co Rwanda, in the central part of the continent. The company’s goal of strengthening earnings from overseas operations is to strengthen its business in developing countries, where there is great potential.

Saisan will establish a new local subsidiary in partnership with Jibu, under the name “Jibu Gas One Limited, and the investment ratio is 51% for Saisan and 49% for Jibu.

The main product sold will be LP gas. According to Tomohiko Kawamoto, vice president of
Saisan, “Gas pe*******on is low in Rwanda. When I went on a field trip, I saw some people cooking by making fire with firewood. Gas sales will grow steadily from now on.”

The company will sell gas through Jibu’s sales network, with a plan to place gas filling facilities at locations such as where ‘s water purification facilities are located and sell gas to customers, with a system that is affordable to fill cylinders as much as the customer wants, without having to come up with a lot of money at once.

“For the fiscal year 2024, we would like to establish filling facilities in five locations in Rwanda. It expects to sell about 50 tons per location” (Vice President).

Jibu Gas one will be an energy solution to the Rwanda local market.

Since there is growing evidence that single motherhood is linked to increased risks of poverty, there is growing concern about the rise in single parenting, particularly among women. One of Jibu's values is family and we believe that working together as a family we can alleviate poverty and improve the well beings of our families in undeserved communities. As families stay together their well being improves even more. There is power in numbers.

We salute the fathers that are holding it down for their families and appreciate the single mums who are playing the double role of mum and dad.

Jibu is focused on providing clean drinking water access to underserved communities and is now in 8 African countries and growing. Our communities have a high number of children who do not have the good health as safe water becomes a luxury instead of a necessity.
