Happy Friday, We can't wait to show you our city!!!
We love curating tours for our groups. This is a behind the scenes tour of The Original Dwarf House in Hapeville, also known as Chick-fil-A!! Do you know what year Chick-fil-A opened in Hapeville?
We had the pleasure of taking a group of students to the CDC Museum which is located in Atlanta,GA.
Do you know what type of machine this is???
It's called an Iron Lung, and was used in the 1940s to help people who contracted Polio. The machines are giant ventilators about 7 feet long. Patients lie inside with just their heads resting outside; a seal around the patient's neck creates a vacuum. Bellows at the base of the device do the work of a human diaphragm — they create negative pressure so the user's lungs fill with air, and positive pressure allowing the person to exhale. Although theses are no longer used today, it shows the progress of science and technology .
