MD Entertainments is celebrating 10 years and with great projects very close to my heart and purpose, the GB Kizomba Competition 2017 will be my last time running this Competition and my last Kizomba event in the UK.
No post could summarise appropriately what those 10 years have meant to me and many who have cross my path during this journey. (and it has certainly be a journey) ;-)
So many βFirstβ of which I am very proud of.
So many DJs, Instructors, Artists, Promoters, Venues, Staffs, Volunteers and Friends I have had the honour to "introduce" to the kizomba scene and many I have had the pleasure to work with.
Equally it has brought me many, many people in my life and many opportunities I am incredibly grateful.
Many dancers have taken part in the competitions over the years and are now known nationally and internationally, teaching, organising and promoting their own events and festivals. It is fitting to finish with the event that has been a stepping stone to Kizomba in the UK and to many involved today.
Most importantly, my thanks and gratitude goes to the many people, known faces or not, locals and internationals who have believed in my or our events and have filled those dance floors.
For the story, back in 2007, I had no idea I would become a promoter, run a national dance competition or take thousands of people to festivals worldwide. It came to me and I worked my hardest and the best I knew how to provide quality, authenticity, culture and experiences that I would have enjoyed myself, as a social dancers like many of those around me.
It is now a chapter I am happy to close on Sunday the 9th of April, looking forward to have more of my own projects coming to light, to have more time for myself and to continue enjoying OUR kizomba scene.
It is my last party, but not the end of my involvement with Kizomba, Music, Dancing and Travels.π

I would love to thank EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU who have been part of this journey in some ways. However I think facebook would be banning me for life if I just even attempted! :-D

If I ever decide to write my story within the History of Kizomba, I promiss you will all be mentioned. :-)
