Notre Dame Cathedral bells ring for first time since 2019 fire.
The iconic Paris cathedral is preparing for its Dec. 8 reopening, which comes more than five years since a fire in April 2019 caused extensive damage, including the collapse of its spire and most of its roof. The ringing of the bells featured all eight restored bells chiming together, with the introduction of three new bells, including one from the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Abbiamo letto. Veni. Vidi. Vici. We read. We came. We saw. We conquered. The Che Bella Book Club finished our top to bottom exploration of Italy in Sicily. The books we read this year came alive and the reading experience made our trip that much richer. What a wonderful group! Interested in joining our book club? Verona was a big hit with our Che Bella guests. Famous for being the setting of Shakespeare’s "Romeo and Juliet,” the city also boasts one of the oldest arenas in Italy; built in 30 A.D. it is still used used today for opera and other musical events.
