5-24-23 “MOOSEHEAD ATV TRAILS WILL BE OPEN ON Friday, May 26-23”.
An issue out of our control has been successfully resolved.
Please note the following:
1.) The Moose Mtn. Trail from the railroad bed in Greenville Junction to the North Road at Big Moose Mtn. will remain closed on opening day. Our contractor will work there after May 26 to get that open. We will report here when that trail opening occurs.
2.) As a result of the above if you ride toward the connector trail from the East Outlet Trail, it will dead end where the North and South Roads meet on the State Land Unit. You can ride to that point then loop back but must re-trace your ride back to the East Outlet Trail. Plan your fuel supply accordingly.
3.) There is a logging operation on the CC Rd. between the Maheax Rd and York Rd. Please give their operation the right of way and proceed according to their instructions.
4.) Riders going to Kokadjo from the B-52 site will now use the Prong Pond Road rather than the Bypass Trail. RIDE RIGHT and observe a 25 mph limit. There will be 2 way vehicle traffic with some hills that limit visibility. The right turn off to Kokadjo is marked.
5.) We have been advised that our trails leading to Rockwood, Moxie, Kokadjo and Abbot will be open on 5-26. Check with them for details on their trails. Kokadjo reports that their bridge at Bluff Mtn. is out and impassable.
6.) The American Legion Post is holding a short memorial service Saturday 5-27-23 (1pm) at the B52 site for all to attend. We welcome all ATV’s and visitors by car or ATV but please arrive 10 minutes early to keep the noise level down during the ceremony.
Thank you for your patience turning this trying time. Our goal was to provide this notice weeks ago and we have been working with our partners and contractors behind the scene to deliver for you.
Please ride gently and sober, stay on marked trails and roads, respect other riders and the people of Greenville, patronize a business as a show of support and thank a law enforcement officer for increasing your safety.
