The Reveal
Wayne Suggs Photography

I was recently on the podcast, Beyond the Lens with Richard Bernabe. We spoke a lot about previsualization vs. chasing the light. I took this image recently in Northwest New Mexico and this photograph was definitely previsualized. I found this composition three to four years ago. I have tried several times to take this photograph, but things never worked out. It's always been out there waiting for me to return until the time when conditions were right. On two previous attempts, it had rained and there was no way I was walking up on the hoodoo. My feet would have made a mess and I would have left permanent scars on the beautiful formation. Another time, the light was bland and I knew I could do better. On this particular morning, I made my way to my old friend and there wasn't a moment of breeze. Birds were singing as the light began to appear. The sky was a beautiful striation of pinks and blues. The reflective light from the sky lit up my foreground. I really took my time and made sure I had the scene composed the way I had always envisioned.
Once the light began to wane, I thanked the hoodoo, the birds, and the sky. I walked back to camp for my morning coffee and reflected on the pleasure the morning gave me.

Shiprock is beautiful in any angle but it's certainly so much better up close. Truly a majestic rock formation we have here in our home 😍

Los Vagabonders

We are just a couple of normal people who got bit by the travel bug early on. As we began to expand our travel ambitions and plans we noticed there did not exist a service quite like ours where you could have a travel service plan out customizable trips based on real world experience (traditional travel agencies came close but ultimately fell short on the "travel knowledge and planning" we sought).

And so... Los Vagabonders was born! We had this idea that we could provide a travel service that didn't currently exist. We would use our years of travel knowledge, practical financial planning & budgeting, and an easy to use travel model to provide complex and immersive trips for people of all travel skill levels.

HOW WE WORK...

We begin with you PICKing the travel destination and experience you want to go on. We will work with you to customize each leg of your trip and ensure you experience all your desired journey has to offer (This includes coordinating flight, accommodations, and travel activities).
