The most important dates of Roman Africa:
146 BC: Carthage was destroyed and the African province was created on its territory
46 BC: the Numidian king Yuba 1st (in eastern of Algeria), the alley of Pompius was defeated by Ceasar and his kingdom became the new African province (Africa nova), that in 146 became the Africa Vetus.
27 AD: with the reforms of Augustus,the two African provinces (vetus and nova) became one province called Africa proconsularis.
40 AD: the murder of the king Ptolemy king of Mauretania (western of Algeria and Morroco) by Caligula and his kingdom became the Mauretania province
42 AD: Mauretania was divided into Mauretania Caesarensis (western Algeria) and Mauretania Tangitana (nowadays Morocco) by Tiberius.
196 ! AD, the foundation of a new province by Septimius Severus called Numidia (eastern Algeria)
429 AD: Vandal invasion and the fall of the Roman Africa..
