Plusieurs opérations ont été combinées pour effectuer la plus grande invasion amphibie dans l'histoire - plus de 160,000 Soldats Alliés débarqués le 6 juin, aidés par plus de 5,000 bateaux, de bombardements aériens, de planeurs et de Troupes Aéroportées. Des milliers de Soldats ont perdu leurs vies sur les côtes Françaises de Normandie ce jour-là. Des milliers d'autres allaient les suivre alors que le succès du débarquement Allié commençait à pousser l'Allemagne N**i vers l'est, menant finalement à la Victoire Alliée en 1945... ;-)

Thousands of Soldiers lost their lives on those French beaches on that day - many thousands more would follow as the invasion succeeded and troops began to push German forces eastward, eventually leading to the Allied Victory in 1945... ;-)
