Grounds for Growth Soap & Scrub Grounds for Growth is an innovative project aimed to reduce coffee waste, while promoting environmental sustainability in the Champaign-Urbana community.

Enabling sustainable progress in the local community by partnering with Restoration Urban Ministries to create and sell hand-made products to help the environment, enable further financial independence to the residents of RUM and teach business skills. Illinois Enactus is partnering with local businesses, Restoration Urban Ministries, and students in order to upcycle used coffee grounds into soap

for gardening. This project aims to reduce waste in landfills, create new and innovative products, then sell the products to help the residents of R.U.M. By participating in this program, the residents of R.U.M. gain business skills and team work experience to eventually get a job! For more information please email us at [email protected]!
