✨PM Spotlight✨
Hiba is a Junior majoring in Marketing and Information Systems with a minor in Sustainability, Energy, and the Environment.

She is the Project Manager for this Grounds. Throughout this project she have learned how to navigate business challenges by exploring new channels of selling products and adjust our lessons for the residents we teach to their evolving needs and interests. More than anything, she learned the power of student organizing in the surrounding community and how necessary it is to bridge the resource gap that exists between our campustown and the surrounding neighborhoods.

Her favorite part of the project is getting to know the residents at Restoration Urban Ministries and working with them to grow this social venture!

Stop by the Urbana Farmers Market next weekend to purchase some of our products! We will be selling our soaps and scrubs at the Urbana Farmers Market every Saturday in April beginning next Saturday, April 6th!! We are so excited to announce our new partnership with Salt & Light Ministries. Salt & Light works to empower individuals towards lasting change by affirming their dignity. They are a grocery and thrift store that provides credits to its employees while also creating opportunities for individuals to use their talents in productive and meaningful ways! Our products will now be sold there and we could not be more thrilled! Feel free to stop in to Salt & Light and check out our soaps and scrubs.

This past week at Restoration Urban Ministries, members had the opportunity to create and improve their resumes with the help of Illinois Enactus members. Enactus member Reina Patel helped edit Diane’s resume and then worked with her on packaging Grounds for Growth soap and scrub!

Introducing.. Grounds for Growth body scrub! Our scrub is made with coffee grounds, coconut oil, and other natural ingredients. It smells amazing and leaves your skin soft and moisturized. Like our soap, the scrub is handmade by residents of Restoration Urban Ministries, and will be available for purchase on our website soon!
