It was a very emotional day a couple of weeks ago when we locked the office door for the last time. 😭

Due to the challenges that came with both Brexit and Covid (as well as now having three beautiful children of our own❤️), it is with great sadness that Little Chicks Childcare will cease trading this month. 🐣💔

I would like to thank 💖

- the families that I have met and known over the past decade.
- the amazing nannies who have helped the company grow and be a huge success.
- the continued support from all of the companies in and around the resorts, in particular Oxygène Ski School who have played a big part in our life.
- the friends who I have met over the last decade that have supported me through everything the Seasonaire life throws at you.
I have too many to name but you know who you are.
- And last but not least Max ❤️You have been a constant support throughout everything since the day we first met at the meeting point nearly 10 years ago.

I am thankful for the past decade and Val d’Isère will always be special to us as a family also because the 2 oldest children were born there 💙💗.

It’s not a goodbye, it’s a see you later 😉.

🥳Wishing a Happy New Year to all of our lovely families and nannies.
Like for many, 2020 was a challenging year for Little Chicks Childcare as we faced both COVID 19 and Brexit.
With further uncertainty of when things will return to normal, it is going to be another tough year for Little Chicks Childcare.

We are trying to stay positive this New Year and continue to work hard to make the best of the situation.
We will be sure to keep families with bookings up to date in due course once we have a better idea of what is going on.

A new little chick has hatched! 🐣
We are thrilled to welcome our third child Isabelle Rose 💓 who arrived at the end of September.

With the arrival of our new addition, I have taken the decision to focus on my family this winter and Little Chicks Childcare will not be operating for the 2020/2021 season.

Hopefully we will be back thriving for the 2021/2022 winter season but as many small businesses are finding in the current situation, the future is uncertain.

I would like to thank all of our families and children that we have taken care of over the years and also a huge thank you to all my wonderful nannies for all their hard work, enthusiasm and dedication ❤️

🤗 I thought Amiee was amazing!! She’s by far the best nanny we’ve ever had. She’s very clearly got lots of experience in her field! Also, she knew everything about val d’isere and we knew nothing, that was a bonus too!!

I was very pleased you managed to book us in with not much notice. I was a bit scared nearing the departure date as I didn’t know if we’d have someone or not but my trust was with you and everything worked out in the end.

🐣First of all you and Little Chicks are great. From our first emails back in the autumn you were accommodating, flexible and really clear in what you could provide.
I observed various other Little Chicks nannies at work in Val during the hectic half term week and they were all smartly decked out, really polite and nice and more importantly giving their little charges a really good time.
It seems to be a really top notch organisation.

Secondly I would like to give a big shout out for Millie who was completely outstanding all week. Millie took to looking after Fred and fitting in with our family brilliantly and we all adored her.
I was worried about Fred being left with a stranger while we all set off excitedly to ski but actually this was not a problem at all - Millie provided a really fun and varied programme and Fred immediately took to her. By day two he was really looking forward to seeing her and did not mind being left behind by the rest of us one bit.
Millie also was very flexible at meeting us for lunch in a variety of restaurants and then would sit with the other children, look after Fred and generally get on with everyone really well.

I would recommend Millie to nanny really professionally with any family and I would absolutely love to book her again for next year if at all possible.

Little chicks are very sorry that it’s come to this 😥🦠!!

I would personally like to thank all of my nannies and families for a great winter 2019/20 and we are devastated it’s the end of the season in March 💔😭!

I am currently working my way through lots of emails and phone calls at this very stressful time so please be patient and bear with me 🥰.

Dear Laura ,

Suffice to say that Emily did a sterling job with Angus.
She took his special needs totally in her stride and he was very happy to go off every afternoon for some fun with her without a backward glance. Nothing was too much trouble for her. It meant we could have a very relaxing long lunch afternoon ski and trip to CocoRico knowing Angus was in such capable hands!

Hi Laura,

I really cannot fault Jodi and Amber! They were everything we needed them to be and more.
They made us mums very at ease meaning we could really enjoy our kiddy free time in the slopes, safe in the knowledge that the kids weren’t just being looked after but they were really having great fun.
The pictures they sent through during the week were magical - three super smiley happy kiddies and very very happy mums.
They kept us in the loop if there were any problems (extremely minor bottom related problems I may add!) and we got a full itinerary on hand over each afternoon.
What more could we ask for.
We hope to come to Val again just with Max in April and lots again in the future - and we certainly won’t be going anywhere else to find fabulous nannies!
Please pass on our thanks to Jodi and Amber, they really did make our week.
I know the other parents would absolutely agree.

Can't thank you enough for setting us up with Jess to look after Annabel!
She was just perfect, Annabel had such a great time with her and I knew she was in safe hands. That's such a good feeling!

Next time might have to go full time and get more skiing in!

“Jess was wonderful. She quickly developed a rapport with our boys and I knew they were safe and well looked after during the day when we were skiing from day 1.
The boys clearly enjoyed the holiday as much as we did which was great - Ethan loved the soft play especially!
They went most days at Ethan’s request! Jess was really helpful and flexible and made the breastfeeding easy.
We have stayed in touch a little since we got home”

This week was a very creative one using characters from children’s story books to paint faces and making cup animals which this child in particular really loved. She now has a full set of animals for her journey home and loved her time with her nanny here in Val d’Isère.

The girls (and boys) enjoyed a frozen day dressed as princesses and princes on a scavenger hunt to build Olaf. They all reigned over Val d’isére looking spectacular!

Today was snow science day for the children our Head Nanny Aimee conducted the experiment and the children loved it!

Today was a great day here in Val disere we saw some eagles (and even had one on our head), sledged, built snowmen, arts and crafts, visited the peaks of the mountains and went to the farm!

Hi Laura,

Our week was amazing. The extra care that Jess put into everything was EPIC and made our holiday so much fun.
My wife was instantly comfortable with her (which is rare) and we can't speak of her highly enough.
The extra service's provided, such as the wipes, pram, bouncer, etc. (especially the steriliser) was superb.
Happy to recommend your services to everyone.

Fridays nanny is.... AMBER

“Hello my name is Amber, I am 26 years old from Hitchin Hertfordshire.
I am an energetic bubbly person who loves to entertain children and make amazing memories on their holiday or within their home setting.

I play hockey at a high level for my local team and have worked with children since aged 13.

I have worked for a ski company called esprit for 7 ski seasons with children aged 17wks up to aged 12yrs providing wrap around childcare to cater to the parents every needs.

In the summer I am a private Au Pair for a family of 4 children cooking cleaning and encouraging the children to play outdoors. We go on bike rides through the forests everyday after school, bake and play in the pool.

I have also worked with children in the army cadet force as an instructor as well as a cadet myself from the age of 11 to 18. My main hobby is skiing, I am an advanced skier with great knowledge of the ski resort Val D’Isère.”
