The UK Embassy in Egypt announced an update to travel advice for Egypt, saying it no longer advises against traveling to southern South Sinai and Fayoum governorate.
“We no longer advise against all but essential travel to the southern part of South Sinai governorate and Fayoum governorate,” the embassy stated.
Sherif Kamel, the Egyptian Ambassador in London showed his appreciation for the UK government over updating its travel advice for Egypt, noting that such a step would facilitate and encourage the UK nationals travel to such areas.
