☀️ I’m not really a Gold Coast kind of person - it’s sooooo busy here and the traffic does my head in - but by golly it’s nice sitting in the quiet and sipping a morning cuppa watching the sun rise up over the ocean...might be time to plan another road trip! ☀️ Cross-posting this pic from where I am building myself an income to help find our one-day Big Lap. We're just back from a fbulous couple of days off the grid, camping with friends. We headed up to a ripper little spot right on the river, and did nothing except swim (the kids) and kayak (all of us) and knit (me). So so good. After the magic of watching the sun set over the ocean (quite a novelty for this east-coaster), the quiet prettiness of the bistro at the Weipa caravan park tickled my fancy on the way back to the camper after a pre-bed facilities run with the tiny army. For three days, since we left Cooktown with our fishing lines bone dry and untouched, Boy2 has been desperately concerned that we would miss out. His joy was contagious when we set up and the wind had dropped enough to consider throwing a line in - I have never seen a child so excited by a "gift" of a pack of bait! It was the best evening chilling on the beach, watching the sunset, and hanging out waiting for his line to jerk. Sadly, we needed Plan B Dinner, but it was a bit of fun none the less. http://ift.tt/2vnJA8S
